“You must offer real, living, beautifully coloured flowers…real flowers springing from your own soul — not even cut flowers. You must offer the flowers of the art that is in you — the symbols of all that is noble, and beautiful, and inspiring. Flowers that will often change a colourless leaf into an established and thoughtful thing.“

I studied at Glasgow School of Art, graduating in 2001 with a First Class BA (Hons) Design—Visual Communication degree. I use mixed media — oil, acrylic, emulsion, gloss and enamel, as well as collage, dyes, thread, fibre and metallic leaf — to create works in my own non-representational idiom and in two and three dimensions. Collaboration with other artists, and the opportunity it gives for discussion and communion through creativity, is a method of working that also interests me — friendship as a way of making art.
I welcome you getting in touch to suggest collaborations, exhibitions or other artistic projects. For a more ‘behind the scenes’ view of my artistic practice, please see my Instagram.
